Idaho Hospice Eligibity

At any time during a life-limiting illness, it is appropriate to call Treasure Valley Hospice to discuss your options.

Treasure Valley Hospice Insurance Accepted

Our staff is available to discuss your current situation with the you, your family and physicians involved.

To qualify for hospice:

  • Have a life-limiting illness that by physician certification could result in a prognosis of less than 6 months to live.
  • The focus of care is now on comfort and quality of life instead of aggressively trying to “beat the disease or condition.”

Diagnosis and Conditions that often meet criteria for Hospice include:

Cancer, Heart Failure, COPD, CHF, Failure to Thrive, Alzheimer’s/Dementia, ALS, Parkinson’s, Stroke, Coma, Renal Failure, and MS. Other conditions/diagnosis may also qualify.

Idaho Hospice Payment Options

Treasure Valley Hospice accepts several types of insurance coverage. The cost to you is most often non-existent or minimal.

Minimal cost to patient

Insurances that are accepted by Treasure Valley Hospice are:

  • Medicare - No co-pay or out of pocket expense
  • Private insurance - often pays for Hospice
  • Medicaid
  • Most Medicare Advantage Plans
  • VA
